Professional Product: Rodex pasta 5kg is a ready-for-use bait formulated with wheat flour, chopped grain, soft lard and peanut flavouring to produce a high calorie, high energy rodent poison containing 50ppm bromadiolone.
- 15g ‘T’ bag sachets
- Palatable to rats and mice
- Effective against all rodent problems
- Peanut attractant ensures a rapid bait ‘take’
Rodex pasta ‘T’ bag sachets should be placed unopened as the rodents will also eat the bag material. Place the pasta sachets where there are signs of rodent activity for example fresh droppings. Place the bait sachets throughout the infested area.
To control rats use bait points of up to 10 sachets. Place the bait points every 10 metres. This should be reduced to every 5 metres if there is a high infestation.
To target mice place use bait points containing 2 sachets every 5 metres. In areas with a high mouse infestation his should be reduced to every 2 metres.
Baits must be protected against access by non-target species, ideally using lockable bait boxes. When these are not available place the poison on bait trays inside pieces of drainage pipe, or under sections of slate, board or corrugated iron, suitably weighted. When using bait boxes the sachets can be ‘spiked’ on to the metal rods if these are available.
Check baits frequently, especially in the first week, and replace any bait that is eaten by rodents, or that has become contaminated. If all the poison has been eaten from certain areas increase the number of bait points, do not increase the bait point size.
The active in Rodex is bromadiolone. This is a second generation anti-coagulant. A single feed can be sufficient to kill a rodent however they will continue to feed until the poison takes effect.
Rodents will generally die out of sight for example in nests or burrows. Any dead rodents that are discovered should be disposed of in accordance with your local regulations.
